Oklahoma overhauled its CE rules in 2025, and the new numbers are bigger than the old ones. As of June 1, 2025, resident sales associates and broker associates owe 30 hours every three years - up from the previous structure - with 13 of those hours locked to six required topics before you touch a single elective.
Here is the full breakdown under the current rules for resident associates, plus the lighter non-resident path.
The base requirement: 30 hours every 3 years
As of June 1, 2025, the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission requires resident sales associates and broker associates to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education within the 36 months preceding renewal. Of those, 13 hours are pinned to six required course categories and the remaining 17 hours are electives or other approved categories.
The 13 required hours, by topic
- Contracts and Forms (CON) - 6 hours.
- Professional Conduct (PSC) - 3 hours.
- Broker Relationships Act (BRA) - 1 hour.
- Code and Rules (CAR) - 1 hour.
- Fair Housing (FHR) - 1 hour.
- Hot Topic (HOT) - 1 hour.
- The remaining 17 hours are electives or other approved course categories to reach 30.

Non-resident sales and broker associates renewing after June 1, 2025 have a lighter 8-hour requirement: 6 hours of Contracts and Forms (CON), 1 hour of the Broker Relationships Act (BRA), and 1 hour of Code and Rules (CAR). Oklahoma licenses run on a three-year cycle; complete your hours before your renewal date or the license moves to lapsed status after expiration. Inactive licensees still renew every three years but do not need CE until they reactivate.
How CredTally keeps this on autopilot
- Track the 30-hour total with a separate ring for each required topic - CON, PSC, BRA, CAR, FHR, and HOT - plus your elective hours, so no category is a surprise.
- Store each certificate as you finish, filed with the credit it proves.
- Reminders at 90, 60, 30, and 7 days before your three-year renewal date - early enough to beat any provider reporting lag.
- One-click dated packet of summary plus certificates for any audit or broker review.
- Licensed in Oklahoma plus another state, or also an appraiser or MLO? Each license has its own card, deadline, and reminders in one dashboard.
