Terms of Service

Effective June 11, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and CredTally ("CredTally", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using credtally.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What CredTally is (and is not)

CredTally is a record-keeping tool for licensed professionals. It lets you track continuing-education ("CE") hours against requirements you enter, store certificates, receive deadline reminders, and export summaries of your records.

CredTally is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any licensing board, regulator, or government agency. The Service does not determine whether a particular course, provider, or credit satisfies your obligations. Your licensing board's records and rules are the sole authority on your compliance status. You are responsible for entering accurate requirements, verifying them against your board's current rules, and renewing your license on time.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You sign in with your email address or a Google account; keeping access to that email secure is your responsibility, as anyone with access to it can sign in as you. You agree to provide accurate account information and to use the Service only for your own professional record-keeping.

4. Your content

The license details, course records, notes, and certificate files you upload ("Your Content") belong to you. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, storing certificates, computing your remaining hours, sending you reminders, and assembling your audit export. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it for advertising.

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Your Content. Records you present to a licensing board must be truthful — fabricating compliance records may violate the law and your board's rules, and is prohibited on the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in violation of any law or regulation;
  • upload malicious files or content you do not have the right to store;
  • probe, disrupt, or attempt to access data that is not yours;
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering.

6. Plans, billing, and cancellation

The free plan includes the limits shown on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions ("Pro") are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the prices shown at checkout, and renew automatically until canceled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

You can cancel anytime from Settings → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and Pro features remain available until then. Your data is not deleted when you downgrade — features above the free limits simply lock again. If a price changes, we will notify you before it applies to your next renewal. If something went wrong with a charge, contact us at admin@credtally.com and we will make it right.

7. Reminders and deadlines — important disclaimer

Deadline reminders are a convenience feature, delivered on a best-effort basis. Email can be delayed, filtered, or fail for reasons outside our control, and reminders depend on the dates you entered being correct. You remain solely responsible for knowing and meeting your renewal deadlines. CredTally is not liable for lapsed licenses, missed deadlines, fines, lost income, or any consequence of relying on the Service as your only safeguard.

8. Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Service fast and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice — in which case you will have an opportunity to export Your Content.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CredTally will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you have paid us nothing). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your account, licenses, credits, and uploaded certificates. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 7, 9, and 12) survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
